"For the IEE the object of close and in-depth study is the potential spiritual power and talents of individual people, their spiritual constitution conditioned by their culture, education and innate tendencies. There is a constant search for methods of influencing others’ aforementioned qualities."

Opening Statements: Written by ImpossibleHunt
The IEE is a type that has a lot of misconceptions about it, but despite those things, I think lots of people have the sort of right "vibe" about them. They can be pretty trollish, and they are actually far more of a "jokester" than an ILE ENTP typically is. But these types are foremost concered with day-to-day life and relationships, and their sphere is all about exploring those day-to-day relationships with others, assessing the potential of those they love, etc. They can be pretty adventerous.
However, many people often make this type out to be a sort of "manic pixie dream girl," which really is not the case. In my experience (being good friends with one for a long time), these types can be surprisingly melancholic, and have no issues abandoning and creating flexible relationships depending on their mood. These types can also be surprisingly confrontational and grounded, albeit in short bursts.
The Ego Block is the aspect of the personality you are the most confident in, and is what you offer to the world. It's the main dish of the course, and it's your signature. As such, the ego block is made up of the Base/Leading the Creative functions. The base function is your entire worldview; everything stems from it. The creative function is the sword to your kit, which you can use in any given situation. It's flexible, and importantly, can be turned on and off (which makes it more subtle in usage than the base function), as it's not "on" 24/7.
For the IEE (ENFP), the base and creative function is Ne and Fi.
The IEE is someone who is extremely skilled at perceiving the connections between various fields of knowledge, skills and interests. These are the types that constantly want to try new things, and strive to generate curiosity in others, and are often a part of many different groups. Usually, the interests and practical knowledge the IEE strives to explore, helps them to understand people. Specifically, the IEE wants to explore the interests of those close to them, to unlock the key to good, every-day relationships; and assessing their own potential as a human being.
These are the types that can be interested in anything, as long as it is presented in a unique, enthusiastic manner that encourages exploration and engagement. To assist with this, the IEE employs the use of creative Fi in order to create and maintain flexible and situational relationships, in accordance to their personal sentiments. If the person they are close to has a unique sense of potential, or can assist the IEE in engaging with a new subject/material, the IEE can effectively creative a sense of kinship with that person. So from a distant perspective, these types are going to appear as pretty social, open-minded, and skilled in navigating with people. But their personal sentiments can change. If the IEE no longer likes you, or if their perception of you changes, they can sever these relationships without much trouble. But if they see something in you specifically, they are going to tag along with you and not let go.
A good example of this is Luke Skywalker, the original protagonist of Star Wars. In comparison to all the other characters, who have written off Vader as someone "too far gone," Luke never gave up on redeeming his father. Luke has a keen sense of potential, and depending on how strong these sentiments are, will seek to establish close bonds with those people. Vader was one of the most dangerous people in the galaxy, who executed hundreds of Jedi. But Luke perceived the "good" in him when no one else could, not even Obi Wan and Yoda were able to do the same.
If you are coming in from MBTI, this is where socionics begins to depart from it. The next area of focus is called the superego block, or the area in which uses to support their ego block. The two functions in this sphere are called the Roleand the POLR (Point of Least Resistance) functions.
The Role element is the function you use to directly support, and to balance out your ego-block functions. It is not something you enjoy doing or value, but it needs to be done in order to balance yourself out as a person. You'll see this element a lot (which can lead to mistypings), and you can actually become quite proficient with this function with practice. The POLR function is the element you essentially keep locked up in your basement because it directly messes with the ego-block. As such, this is going to often be the function many struggle with using properly, and requires constant (and painful) trial-and-error to improve.
For the IEE (ENFP), the role and POLR functions are Se and Ti.
Se role means the IEE can be physically capable, and force themselves to do things in limited bursts. But they will often find themselves getting tired if they need to for long periods of time, and will typically seek easier ways to accomplish their goals, instead of fighting the challenge (or person) head on. Simply, these types don't really enjoy forcing people to do things, and would much rather make their subjects curious, and as intellectually invested as they are. So as a result, these types really only become forceful and physical when they are deeply irritated. Otherwise, they see a lot of different solutions that will accomplish the same task.
But make no mistake, an IEE will fight you if they need to. It's just they would rather do anything else, and only do so when they see no other option besides standing up for themselves. Then they quickly cool off when they do. Deadpool is a good example, in where when he is irritated he can get physical, and grounded in short bursts. It's enough to be capable, but unlike a Se ego type, it's not their entire worldview. These types do not value conflict. Most of the time, these types will just be a smart-ass, or have quips they'll pull in tense scenarios.
Ti POLR makes it so the IEE has extreme difficulty in embracing new theoretical concepts, unless they can see a direct use for it through their personal experiences. This is because they see this as largely unnecessary. So if you draw an IEE into an intellectual conversation or debate, they are going to do everything in their power to avoid such a discussion unless they are 100% right, without a shadow of a doubt. These are people that are far more comfortable around factual, empirical data; rather than relying on their own logical frameworks to determine answers for them. This can have a few issues, as pulling facts from everywhere might make you "right," but it can also make you extremely inconsistent when you have no firm logical base that structures your view of the world. As such, some of your beliefs might be correct, but the way it's structured might be nonsensical in favour of being adaptable/flexible.
Si-Te Super-Id Block
(Ne-Fi) - (Te-Si) - (Ni-Fe) - (Ti-Se)
The Super-id block is made up of the two functions that the individual is weaker at, but consistently values and wants to get better at. This block has two functions, the mobilizing and the suggestive element. The mobilizing function is something that gives the individual energy, and is an avenue they want to keep actively pursuing to become better.
The Suggestive function is known the "inferior" function in MBTI, and is an aspect that the individual sucks at, needs lots of help and guidance with, but they are open to (and love people who can provide) feedback in this area.
For the IEE (ENFP), the suggestive and mobilizing functions are Si and Te.
Because of Si suggestive, The IEE is going to be someone who is unaware of their own physical states, has trouble discerning what their tastes and preferences are, and has difficulty finding what makes them comfortable. But they place lots of value in exploring these activities, and hope to one day be able to replicate what makes them comfortable, and to bring that to other people. This is where the SLI (ISTJ) can dualize with the IEE, and help ground them, and introduce to them day-to-day rituals that can make them "cozy" (which the SLI will love to do for them). This will help the IEE be more appreciative of the day-to-day monotony of life, and find the pleasure in the small things.
If you need an example, think of yourself getting home from work. Then your husband is a simple person, has his own habits/routines/ rituals, but really knows how to cook (yes, the SLI (ISTJ) chef stereotype is real). It's one of his main skills. But he knows how to cook a meal precisely the way you like it, maybe knows how to brew the perfect cup of coffee, breakfast in bed; that sort of thing. Little activities that elevate and makes you appreciate what is happening in the present, and not in some possibility-driven abstract scenario in your head.
Te mobilizing makes the IEE attracted to people who are well-knowledgeable, and fact-oriented. This is because the IEE is on a constant search for new information, that strives to expand on their perceptions of the potential of the world around them. However, while this function is bold, you might find that the IEE has a hard time finding out how to use this information practically. So these types will often become encyclopedias that constantly seek to learn new things about the world, but might not be all that practical with the info they gather.
Ni-Fe Id Block (Ne-Fi) - (Te-Si) - (Ni-Fe) - (Ti-Se)
The Id Block is made up of functions the individual is very good at. but don't really care that much to talk about, or draw attention to. These two functions are called the Demonstrative and the Ignoring elements.
The Demonstrative element is something that is constantly running in the background, and many people might associate you as having. When it flairs up, tt's extremely bold, noticable, and it's actually the most potent function alongside your base/ dominant function. Because of this, it can lead to a load of mistypes if not careful, as you might think someone's demonstrative element is their base. However, the demonstrative element is not that interesting to the individual. They know they are good at it, but they don't see much value in investing too much time into this element.
The Ignoring function is pretty self-explanatory. It's potent, effective, and it can be used when you need to. But you would much rather spend your time and energy engaging with your ego block, so this is only used as "back-up" when the scenario calls for it. This element is effective and you're good at it, but it's not all that interesting to engage with.
For the IEE, the ignoring and demonstrative elements are Ni and Fe.
Ni ignoring typically manifests as someone who can track cause-and-effect, by observing patterns from the past, and applying them to future contexts. But the IEE is often going to find this too constricting, as assessing cause-and-effect requires to hone and in focus on a few specific trends, and following where they might lead. Instead, why do this when the IEE can instead expand on the potential of objects?
Fe demonstrative makes it so the IEE can be extremely expressive when they need to be. AKA, these types can often be noisy, and are very much skilled in promoting a positive atmosphere, and "good vibes." As such, these types can often be mistyped as Fe base. However, what distinguishes them from Fe types is that they hold a much greater value on fostering genuine interpersonal connections with a smaller group of people, based on personal sentiments.
How To Spot an IEE in Real Life
These are people that are hard-wired to see the potential in the people close to them. These types, while maybe appearing bubly on the outside, prefer to have close-knit interpersonal friendships fueled by personal sentiments. These types create these relationships based on the possibilities they see in people, and whether they like what they see.
These types can be quite physically grounded in small bursts, but they only force their will onto others when there is no other choice. Otherwise, they would much rather make people genuinely interested and curious in what they are doing.
The IEE may not be the most consistent person on the planet, and while they may know a large amount of information about a variety of topics, it is not going to "mesh" together into a cohesive structure/ideology to interpret the world from. Not the sorts of people to participate in debates unless they know 100% that their facts are correct.
These types deeply value those who can make them appreciate the small day-to-day things, and make them comfortable in examining their physical states.
They will be information sponges, and will seek to want to know everything they can about the world around them. But they won't know how to apply that information practically lots of the time.
May come across as very noisy, positive, and upbeat. But if you are someone they particularly like, you might see a more melancholic side of them, as they appreciate genuine bonds over maintaining a positive atmosphere 24/7.

Naranjo and the Self-Preservation Enneagram 4: Hey guys. This is a collection of notes I have taken from the Enneagram Four Book, or more specifically, a translation of Envidia Abnegados, Odiadores Y Melancolicos by Claudio Naranjo. At the end of each chapter, I have added some personal notes, stories, anecdotes, and how I relate to the book. This was mainly a means of me trying to understand the subtype better, but I thought that maybe making these notes public can be of use to others. Hopefully this helps people understand the SP4 subtype, and maybe my personal anecdotes may help illustrate some more real-life, grounded examples to supplement your understanding. While I am not the largest fan of Claudio Naranjo as a person (look at his various scandals), the E4 book has fundamentally helped bring awareness to my deepest self, my tendencies, and has helped to develop compassion for others, and myself. At the time of writing this, I am 27 years old, so I have a long ...
"The EII is interested in the moral aspect of human culture – honesty, conscience, dignity, how cultured a person is. Although he makes new acquaintances easily, his circle of interest is usually limited to close and familiar people. He loves them, cares about them." - Aushra Opening Statements : Written by ImpossibleHunt This is a type that I find is hated on far too much, and people don't give enough respect to them. These are people who are very comfortable with delving into their personal sentiments, and are open to all the ways their close relationships can develop and change overtime. This quality makes them exceptionally empathetic, and receptive to the suffering of others. They can also be exceedingly persuasive at times, and will almost always back up their personal sentiments with a cohesive logical argument. As such, many people might mistype them as Ti base (specifically LII). This is a common issue with Fi base types. These types are also pretty intellect...
Opening Statement Well, we all knew this discussion was coming eventually... I didn't want to do this, but I thought it was an important discussion, and I bribed myself with actual spending money if I covered this topic, so here we are. Well, Alpha Quadra. There is your ammunition. The ESI (ISFP) "gold-digger" allegations are never going away now. Discussions about rarity have always been dominant in typology discussions, because I think everyone has an innate need to distinguish themselves from others. I mean, you are aware of all of your inner complexities, contradictions, thoughts, struggles, aspirations, etc. Therefore, your type must be rare. Right? Well, that is not always the case. You have to remember that typology, by its very nature, strives to categorize people into boxes. But it says nothing about how people can develop very differently within those categories. That is why two people, of the same type, can be extraordinarily different from one another. Whe...
